Banishing checked luggage queues and paper tags, the new Rimowa Electric Tag smart luggage incorporates a digital bag-tag into its hard-shell case, Using Bluetooth, flyers transmit boarding info from their phones to a data portal built into the luggage, and departure/arrival airports, barcodes, and other routing details display in a window on the case in the exact size and format of a paper tag. At the airport, passengers skip the check-in line and drop luggage at an automated station.
